This short passage is loaded with a lot of truth and can be broken into TWO NEAT PARTS:
1.THE GREATNESS of King Ahasuerus vv. 1 - 2
2.THE GREATNESS of Mordecai vv. 2 - 3
My primary focus and application would be on Mordecai. What I see clearly here is that Mordecai was EXALTED and EMPOWERED by God to serve. I would like us to see that when God blesses us either with POSITION or GIFTEDNESS, it is not for ourselves but for the GOOD of OTHERS!
